Jewish Activists Disturb Israeli PM's speech
An anti-occupation activists in the Palestinian Israeli attempt to sabotage the Israeli Prime Minister's speech, Benjamin Netanyahu, in the U.S.. Netanyahu's speech was stopped for a moment until the police arrested activists.
According to Haaretz newspaper, Netanyahu made a speech in parliament in Washington DC, on Tuesday afternoon May 24, 2011 local time. But the speech was stopped when a woman named Rae Abileah activists shouted "Stop Israeli war crimes!"
Jewish-American woman who joined the human rights organization called Code Pink is also demanding the termination of Israeli occupation in Palestine. Not long ago, the police came and dragged Abileah leave the location.
Netanyahu had stopped his speech for a while due to the incident. However, such does not happen, he resumed his speech praising the democratic leadership in the U.S.. He also said that such protests are evidence that the U.S. upholds freedom of speech.
"You can not make such a protest in Tehran. This is true democracy," said Netanyahu.
Previously, through a statement on the site Abileah Code Pink has expressed protest against the attitude of Netanyahu, who refused to admit re-Border Map 1967. Netanyahu said that the Border Map it untenable for Palestinian areas in the map that has been entered into Israeli territory.
